I & A is designed to guide and connect older adults and/or their families to available services. If we don’t have the answers, we will help you find them.
Advocacy
Is a service to promote the independence and individual rights of older persons. This includes receiving, investigating, and working to resolve disputes or complaints on their behalf.
Outreach
Staff conduct home visits with older adults and/or families to inform them of available services and encourage participation in programs that improve their quality of life.
General Public Transportation
Transportation service is available for all ages, Monday through Friday for medical, personal business, and recreational reasons. To make arrangements for a ride contact the Cowley County Council on Aging office Monday-Thursday 8:00-12:00 & 1:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-2:00. LEARN MORE >>
SHICK
(Senior Health Insurance Counseling for Kansas)
This program educates the public and assists consumers on topics related to Medicare Part D so they can make informed decisions.
Respite Care Program
Respite is short term care that helps families take a break form the daily routine and stress of caregiving. A respite worker can come into the home and provide this service.
